    Ach, Jama. As always, you make me smile. And how much do I love that Jimmy Carter quote!! I’ve never really enjoyed the “melting pot” idea behind American culture; melting means that something is lost, and amalgamated. I prefer you to be you, and me to be me, and us to be together — contrasting and harmonizing and complimenting each other.
